Are you equally comfortable behind a microphone, in the field chasing a story, or in the studio creating compelling audio content?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager of Talk and Talent at 680 CJOB, you must be an energetic, creative, and passionate broadcaster who will contribute both as Sports Broadcaster and Co-Host of Jets at Noon (Talk Show Host Intermediate) one of the fastest-growing sports shows in the market, with a rapidly expanding audience across both terrestrial radio and podcast platforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will contribute by:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Producing, writing, and delivering\u00a0morning sports reports and sportscasts.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Serving\u00a0as co-host of Jets at Noon, helping drive engaging, informative, and entertaining daily conversations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Developing\u00a0original story ideas, interviews, and features that connect with our audience.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Covering\u00a0local sports stories, events, and breaking news.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Building\u00a0and\u00a0maintaining\u00a0relationships within the local sports community.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Creating\u00a0compelling content across multiple platforms, including radio, digital, social media, and video podcast channels.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating\u00a0closely with the programming and content teams to grow audience engagement and reach.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and\u00a0experience\u00a0you bring:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary education\u00a0in journalism,\u00a0communications\u00a0or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum two years of broadcasting experience preferred.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>A vested interest\u00a0in sports, and current events.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Journalism background preferred, but not mandatory.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A compelling storyteller with an appreciation for the human-interest side of news and sports stories.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A curious and strategic interviewer.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A strong on-air personality that connects with audiences.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Proven understanding of how to create engaging audio and video content.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to edit audio and video for the podcast and social media space \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Connections within local community groups and the sports community.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently while remaining\u00a0accountable to the team.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing skills across multiple media platforms.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform well under pressure.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with WordPress and Canadian Press (CP) style is considered an asset.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A Valid Driver\u2019s License and clear drivers abstract.<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If\u00a0you\u00a0have the\u00a0following,\u00a0we\u00a0want to\u00a0hear\u00a0from\u00a0you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A genuine passion for broadcasting.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A motivated, self-starting, result-oriented, and professional mindset.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A desire to grow with the\u00a0station and contribute to the continued success of a flagship sports program.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every day, we work hard to become an even more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace that supports the well-being of our people and makes a positive difference in our communities.
