Our mission is simple: to create engaging content, connect with audiences wherever they are, and drive meaningful growth. <br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Guided by our values\u2014Think Boldly, Make a Positive Impact, Win as a Team, and Own the Outcome\u2014we bring creativity and collaboration to everything we do.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>If you\u2019re ready to make an impact, there\u2019s a place for you at Corus.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division:<\/strong>\u00a0Corus Radio \u2013 Toronto \u2013 102.1 The Edge<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Status<\/strong>:\u00a0Full-Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Toronto, ON (On-site)<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have a rare opening to join 102.1 The Edge \u201cIconic Alternative\u201d as a Full-Time Swing Announcer,\u00a0supporting one of the most creative and distinct brands in the country.<\/p>\n<p>This role is based in Toronto and will see you step in across multiple dayparts, bringing\u00a0authenticity, energy, and a strong understanding of the Edge brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You will be a multi-platform personality, creating engaging content across on-air, social,\u00a0and digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking for a curious, versatile, positive talent who can adapt quickly, think creatively,\u00a0and complement a collaborative team that values originality and strong execution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will contribute by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating fun, interesting, and topical content.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Edge\u2019s sound and brand.<\/li>\n<li>Prepping shows with efficient attention to music and topical relevance.<\/li>\n<li>Working well as an individual and team member to create memorable radio and social.<\/li>\n<li>Innovate social media to drive ratings and social engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Promotional appearances, interviews, and other fun opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Sales and revenue friendly, you have ideas you aren\u2019t afraid to monetize.<\/li>\n<li>Vacation and short-notice fill-in across multiple dayparts as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Voice tracking other markets.<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and experience you will bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>3 to 5 years of radio broadcasting experience ideal.<\/li>\n<li>Previous major market on-air announcer experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong engagement skills, on-air, text and social platforms.<\/li>\n<li>You use all the tools and technology to run a tight, well-produced show.<\/li>\n<li>An ability to deliver compelling, bold content and not afraid to give your opinion.<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record of outstanding social media presence and creativity.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to record and edit videos on a phone and create content.<\/li>\n<li>A passion for Alternative music format.<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>When applying:\u00a0<\/strong>please include your resume, cover letter, and a URL link to your demo.<\/p>\n<p>Every day, we work hard to become an even more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace that supports the well-being of our people and makes a positive difference in our communities.
