GPPL is looking for a temporary (one year), full-time Emerging Technologies Librarian to join our fun-loving team of library professionals.<\/p>\n<p>As the <strong>Emerging Technologies Librarian<\/strong>, you will provide a broad variety of services to customers and the community with the aim of enhancing GPPL\u2019s collections and services through technological support and access. Reporting to the Head of Adult Services, this role supports the implementation of new technologies and develops technology-focused programming for our community. This position also has regular shifts at the Ask Desk and is part of the weekend supervision schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who You Are<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A tech-savvy and community-minded professional with a passion for connecting people with emerging technologies and digital resources<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A creative problem-solver with knowledge of 3D printing, creative software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, and a genuine interest in staying current with new tools and resources<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A collaborative team player who works effectively with Adult Services staff and colleagues across GPPL departments to plan and promote programs and services<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A proactive thinker with a Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) degree or a combination of a Library Information Technology (LIT) diploma and relevant experience.
