This role plays a key part in positioning the Library as a responsive, inclusive, and trusted community hub through strong partnerships, outreach, and the integration of social services.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to senior leadership, the Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of librarians and community service professionals and advances organizational priorities related to community wellbeing, equity, diversity and inclusion, reconciliation, outreach, and civic engagement. The role balances strategic planning with relationship\u2011based, community\u2011centred practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide leadership and oversight for community\u2011focused programming and services, including outreach, cultural programming, local history, and social services support.<\/li>\n<li>Build, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, social service agencies, and municipal partners.<\/li>\n<li>Lead, coach, and supervise community librarians and the Social Services \/ Human Services Navigator, fostering collaboration and innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure programs and services are inclusive, accessible, culturally responsive, and reflect community\u2011identified needs.<\/li>\n<li>Support the integration of social services within the library using collaborative, trauma\u2011informed, and strengths\u2011based approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the Library on community committees, working groups, and at public events.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, manage, and evaluate programs, budgets, and service outcomes using data\u2011informed and evidence\u2011based practices.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to organizational planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or<br \/>Master\u2019s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5\u20137 years of progressively responsible experience in public libraries, community services, or a related public\u2011sector or non\u2011profit environment<\/li>\n<li>2\u20133 years of people management or supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success developing partnerships and collaborative initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Experience with outreach, social services, or equity\u2011focused programming is highly desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship\u2011building skills<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, anti\u2011oppressive practice, and community engagement<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of community development principles and social service systems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage complexity, competing priorities, and sensitive situations with professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Experience with data\u2011informed decision\u2011making and program evaluation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasional evening and weekend work to support community programs or events<\/li>\n<li>Regular interaction with the public and community partners<\/li>\n<li>Some travel within the municipality or service area may be required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$46.31- $59.11 per hour<\/p>\n<p>Compensation will be commensurate with experience; benefits information to be provided to shortlisted candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EQUITY &amp; ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Innisfil ideaLAB &amp; Library is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace.
