You will also have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to library projects and initiatives through research and admin support. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>How You\u2019ll Spend Your Summer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Working with a small group of summer students to represent Regina Public Library at community events and outreach activities across the city.\u00a0You\u2019ll attend festivals and community gatherings and help spread the word about the library\u2019s programs, services, and resources while creating fun and welcoming experiences for the public. This includes:<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 o \u00a0Engaging people of all ages through games, interactive activities, and playful challenges<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 o \u00a0Having informal conversations about library programs, services, and collections<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 o \u00a0Encouraging community members to sign up for library cards and participate in library programs<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 o \u00a0Helping create a welcoming, inclusive, and fun atmosphere wherever the library shows up<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Helping deliver library programs and activities in community spaces.\u00a0With guidance from library staff, you will support summer literacy, STEAM, and family engagement activities, including outdoor storytimes, children\u2019s programming, and community pop-up events.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Supporting the Community Engagement and Programming team.\u00a0You will assist with event logistics and outreach preparation by helping with the setup and takedown of programming and outreach materials, transporting supplies, and ensuring activities run smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Providing research and administrative support.\u00a0With guidance from library staff, you will assist with research, information gathering, and administrative tasks that support library projects and initiatives.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>We are looking for students who are:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident talking to new people<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Excited about connecting with children, families, and diverse communities<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Curious about library services, programs, and the library\u2019s impact in the community<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Organized and able to work collaboratively as part of a team<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Interested in gaining experience in community engagement, event programming, and public service<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Experience working with children or families is considered an asset. \u00a0Students pursuing studies in fields such as Education, Child &amp; Youth Care, Library and Information Studies, Recreation, or related fields are especially encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0You must also:<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2022 \u00a0Be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to your studies in the Fall 2026 semester<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2022 \u00a0Be available for full-time work (36.25 hours per week) including some evenings and weekends<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2022 \u00a0Be available for the employment period May 11 \u2013 August 29, 2026<\/p>\n<p>We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Temporary contract for 16 weeks, 36.25 hours\/week, 2 vacancies\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rate of pay: $25.35 per hour (Pay band 4 Step 1)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: April 14, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Competition #20\/26 &#8211; position #21368 and 21369<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regina Public Library is committed to an inclusive workplace that reflects the community that we serve.
