NDSU Libraries is looking for STEM Librarian to join our team! This individual will provide leadership and direction in support of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) departments, specifically related to library instruction, liaison areas, reference, collection development, and research consultations. This position is located within the Research & Engagement department. As a member of the division of Research and Engagement, the STEM Librarian will serve as the Libraries’ expert on the STEM disciplines, and manage, develop, and promote research and instruction services for identified subject areas of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Coatings & Polymeric Materials, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, and departments within the College of Engineering. This individual is expected to work collaboratively with the Research and Engagement team to serve the students, faculty, and staff of NDSU.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional evenings or weekends
Hiring Range: $56,000 – $60,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Accredited ALA or international equivalent MLS, MLIS, MSIS or MS; ALA-accredited Masters in Library Science.
- Experience providing library instruction in person or online or experience with both.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in one or more STEM field.
- Experience working in an academic library or research setting.
